lychee martini recipe

Lychee Martini Recipe: A Delicious & Easy Cocktail

  • This lychee martini is a beautifully balanced cocktail with a sweet, floral aroma and a refreshing tart finish. It’s the perfect drink for special occasions, parties, or a relaxing evening at home. With just a few ingredients and a quick shake, you’ll have a sophisticated cocktail ready to impress.

  • Total Time: TT 5 minutes
  • Yield: 1 serving 1x

Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 oz vodka (such as Tito’s or Grey Goose)

  • 1 oz lychee syrup or nectar (or syrup from canned lychees)

  • ½ oz freshly squeezed lime juice

  • 23 fresh lychees (for garnish or optional muddling)

  • Ice (for shaking)

Instructions

  • Chill your martini glass:
Place the martini glass in the freezer for 15–20 minutes or fill it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.

  • Prepare the shaker:
Fill a cocktail shaker with ice. Add vodka, lychee syrup (or nectar), and lime juice.

  • Optional fresh lychee muddling:
If using fresh lychees for extra flavor, gently muddle them in the shaker before adding liquids. Avoid over-muddling.

  • Shake the cocktail:
Secure the lid and shake vigorously for 15–20 seconds, until the shaker feels frosty.

  • Strain and serve:
Empty the ice water from your martini glass if used. Strain the cocktail into the chilled glass using a Hawthorne strainer.

  • Garnish:
Add a fresh lychee, lime wedge, or a few raspberries for a pop of color. Serve immediately.

Notes

  • Variations: Add ¼ oz rose syrup or rose water for a floral lychee rose martini. For a bubbly version, top the cocktail with club soda or Prosecco.

  • Substitutions: You can substitute vodka with gin for a more herbal flavor.

  • Serving Tip: Always serve in a chilled glass to preserve temperature and texture.

  • Allergy Note: Check labels for lychee syrup if concerned about additives. This recipe is naturally gluten-free and dairy-free.

  • Taste Adjustments: If your lychee syrup is very sweet, reduce it slightly or add a touch more lime juice for balance.
